Slate & Tile Roofing
Summit Construction Group is proud to offer and install Natural Slate & Tile roofing systems. There are many different colors, and styles available, as well as installation methods unique to each model line.
Slate
When it comes to the highest quality and most expensive material available for roofing, Slate roofs are at the top of the list. A traditional roofing material for a true luxury property, the reason most people choose slate is for the appearance and extremely long lifespan. Also commonly used on older historic buildings.
There are many types of slate, with many looks and numerous ways it can be installed. Modern day slate packages will consist of lighter weight slate or small pieces that interlock to provide moisture resistance and cut down on weight load without having to use the longer long slate tiles of old but still maintaining the same visible exposure. Most commonly nailed in with two nails per shingle through pre cut nailing holes or sometimes hung on hangers. Properly installed and well cared for slate roofing can last 75-100 years and longer!
